Soft & Fluffy 1 egg omelette recipe for Babies (6 months+) & toddlers

Fluffy Omelette Recipe for kids (6 months+) & adults

This recipe doesn’t use any cream or milk but gives a very soft & fluffy omelette using the folding technique.

It is hands down Noor’s favourite breakfast and so is mine. We love to eat our omelette plain, soft & fluffy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole egg
  • Salt (avoid below 1 year)
  • Red Chilli Powder (avoid below 1 year)
  • Freshly Crushed Black Pepper
  • Ghee/Olive Oil

Procedure:

  • In a bowl, crack 1 whole egg.
  • Add salt to taste (avoid below 1 year)
  • Add a pinch of red chilli powder (avoid below 1 year) (optional)
  • Add a pinch of freshly crushed black pepper
  • Beat the egg softly in one direction until the entire egg is mixed. Don’t overbeat.
  • Add Ghee/Olive oil in a small diameter non-stick pan.
  • Ensure that the ghee/olive oil coats the entire pan.
  • Once the pan is warm, not hot, add the egg batter to it and let it spread on the entire surface.
  • Now, push the cooked egg on one side of the pan and let the runny egg cover the remaining pan.
  • Keep repeating till there’s no more of the runny egg.
  • Then, fold the egg and flip it over. Don’t overcook it.
  • Soft and fluffy 1 egg omelette recipe is ready to serve.

Important Notes:

  • Use a small diameter frying pan (preferably non-stick) – Added to my Amazon store front under ” Cooking Utensils”
  • Don’t over beat the egg
  • Keep on rolling and layering the egg by moving it as shown.
  • Please avoid salt and red chilly for below 1 year.
  • Black pepper can be used starting 7 months in a small quantity.
